I know I may have already told some of you how I feel about good and evil, but to those who I haven't told, this rant is just to vent about villains and asking why people like them and maybe more about morality in general.

For a while, I've just been seeing fanart of females like the Baroness from GI Joe, Morrigan and Lilith from Darkstalkers, Shadaloo Cammy from Street Fighter Alpha, Ivy from Soul Calibur, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Shego from Kim Possible among others.

What do these people have in common? They're all female VILLAINS.

I also count assassins as villains, like Christie from Dead of Alive and the Williams sisters from Tekken. They may be "hot", but seeing as how they kill people for money, and there's no evidence of them using the money for charity or stuff like that, I have no choice BUT to see them as villains.

My main problems with villains are as follows:

1. Some of them would want world domination. I've seen this one deviation that says: "Maybe the "villains" just want their voice to be heard". Yeah, their voice will be heard, while the human race is doing slave labor for its new masters. Cobra wants to take over the world, so that counts for him.
2. Some of them might kill innocent people. Just take Darth Vader and his Death Star for instance. And Darth Vader might have a fanbase. And assassins could do that as well. This counts for the succubi and demons as well. Succubi steal souls through sex. No soul, no life, you die.
3. They "justify" their acts with money and power. Why? You could get money by living an honest life. You can't take money with you when you die. And power corrupts you. Why do you think people hate government officials some of the time? And think about Hitler or Mussolini or Franco or Napoleon or Richard III.

And I noticed that people have villain-related stamps on DA.

I don't even know why people like villains. I guess the same groups of people would say "heroes are lame. They're weak. They're too goody-goody" Better to root for someone who's NICE and is a "boy/girl scout" than to root for someone who would probably slit a child's throat and smile and gloat about it.

I guess it's because I don't want to disobey the law. I don't want people to hate me. When has there ever been a truly "likable" villain who hadn't turned over to the light side of the force? I'd probably feel dirty for liking a villain (or villainess, more like).

I don't want to insult anyone here, but what if people who only like villains better than heroes are moved to do the same acts villains want to do?

I've just grown to make likable heroes and hate-worthy villains. I'm scared of liking villains and hating heroes. That would be like hating Superman and worshiping Lex Luthor. That would be a sin in its own right.

Also, this thing has been tearing at my brain since yesterday morning. Why is a guy named "DEVILMAN" a good guy? Why on God's green earth would they make a devil into a good guy? And the Japanese version of Witchblade looks pretty demonic as well, but that's just me. Look Devilman up. He doesn't exactly look like a nice guy. He looks like he could rape an innocent schoolgirl or something. Maybe you guys have watched or read Devilman and may know something I don't know, so please correct me if I'm wrong. And if I am, I apologize.

I'm sorry if I offended any people with this rant. I just needed to vent.

tl;dr: Villains scare me, some or most of them can be violent jerks, and they might harm or enslave me if they existed in real life.
I just wanted to vent about this, because I couldn't just keep it bottled up.

I don't see why looking into good and evil is so bad. "Gray" isn't exactly an interesting color either.
